Directions:
We go to Haldensee by bus or our own car. In the centre of the village is the bus stop and therefore also our meeting point. Pass the chapel, cross the road and continue slightly uphill to the last houses. Now follow trail no. 421 through the forest. A short time later we reach the driveway into Strindental, the so-called Saalfelder Höhenweg, on which we reach the Edanbachalpe. After the short detour at the alpine pasture we walk further into the Strindental until we finally reach the Strindenalpe. In front of us is now the climb to the Strindenscharte. After that it goes slightly downhill, past the Sulzspitze, towards Gappenfeldalpe. Shortly before the hut, the path branches off to the left. From now on it is no longer a road. Shortly below the Schochen the path becomes steeper and after a short ascent we reach the summit. Impressive views as far as the Tyrolean mountains can be enjoyed from up here. Downhill, past the Ziegerstein and the Landsberger Hütte already in sight, we continue our hike. Only past the Lache and the hut is reached. As beautiful as it is here, we think of the way back. The first part of the way we walk back to the Gappenfeldalpe. Now we turn right and the descent is moderately steep. At the gravel pit in the valley we turn right to Tannheim. To our starting point in Haldensee we take the bus again.

Safety guidelines:
It should be noted that in mountaineering there is an increased risk of accidents and injuries. Despite careful route planning, a basic risk always remains. Tour preparation through endurance sports, appropriate technical training and further education as well as personal prudence reduces the danger of accidents and risks. However, please never forget that the weather in the mountains can change very quickly. Stay on the marked hiking trails.

Equipment:
The personal mountaineering equipment must be safe and serviceable and meet the relevant technical standards. Every hiker is recommended to obtain information about the planned tours from specialist alpine literature or on site.
