Cross-country skiing trails in the Tannheimer Tal

The cross-country skiing offer in the "most beautiful high valley in Europe" is extensive and varied with a total of 140 kilometres of cross-country trails. These include high level competition tracks as well as pleasure routes for classic cross-country skiing and skating. The cross-country ski runs cover the entire valley. In Nesselwängle, Grän, Zöblen, Schattwald or Tannheim there are only a few steps to the cross-country trail. The journey from place to place and further away cross-country trails is easy and comfortable with the ski bus, which is free of charge for holders of the guest card.

A classic is the 13 kilometre stretch from Tannheim to Vilsalpsee in the middle of the nature reserve. A little more sporty, but with an equally fantastic panorama, is the round track from Tannheim past Haldensee via Nesselwängle to the Gaichtpass. In winter the lake is often frozen over and can be crossed. The trail is almost 19 kilometres long and leads through some of the most beautiful corners of the Tannheimer Valley.

You can also find all information about the lengths and degrees of difficulty of the trails on our interactive map. One of the standards is a service-oriented infrastructure. In Tannheim, for example, you will find a public WC directly opposite the cross-country ski trail entrance in the tourist information.
