Ballooning in the Tannheimer Tal
An unforgettable experience - in summer as well as in winter
Rugged peaks, lush green meadows and crystal-clear mountain lakes - this dreamlike backdrop awaits holidaymakers in the Tannheimer Tal. An environment made for extended expeditions through nature. How fascinating does this view have to be from a bird's eye view? Interested people have the unique opportunity to do so during a balloon flight - an unforgettable experience guaranteed.
The adventure of ballooning is possible all year round in the Tannheimer Tal with suitable weather conditions. In summer, the colourful giants float along the river Lech past the Ehrenberg castles and the Highline 179 towards the Allgäu lake district. Passengers can enjoy a fantastic view of Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau Castle under King Ludwig II. With a bit of luck you can even see as far as Lake Constance, Starnberg Lake or Munich and the Tyrolean glaciers.
In winter, the balloons travel directly over the Tannheimer Tal and the Bavarian Alpine foothills. Although one has to dress warmly in the cold season for an excursion at lofty heights, as a reward, there are excellent visibility conditions and views to the Zugspitze, to South Tyrol and to Switzerland with hundreds of mountain peaks. The crowning glory of ballooning is the crossing of the Alps. However, the opportunity for this adventure is very rare, as the weather is ideal for this trip only on a few days in winter. You start in the Tannheimer Tal and after four to five hours you land in Italy between Lake Garda and Venice. After an overnight stay in the south, the next day we return to the starting point in the Tyrolean high valley. The highlight of the winter is the ballon festival..
