Biking in the Tannheimer Tal
Sport in beautiful surroundings is twice as much fun. This also applies to cycling in the Tannheimer Tal. First-class conditions await cyclists - whether racing bike, mountain bike or e-bike. The Tyrolean high valley is ideally situated as a starting point for a wide variety of cycling tours towards the Lechtal or Allgäu Alps. "Gipfelwelten" - this is the name of the 7th stage of the long-distance cycle path Radrunde Allgäu, which also leads through the Tannheimer Tal. The cross-border cycle path leads from Jungholz via Schattwald to Grän before returning to Allgäu.
Especially for racing cyclists, there are 22 racing bike tours around the Tannheimer Tal with a total of 2,500 kilometres to choose from. In order to find your way around this large offer, there is a carefully prepared racing bike booklet including maps. The highlight of the season is the Rad-MarathonTannheimer Tal, where around 2,000 cyclists compete every year. But mountain bikers don't miss out either: there are 15 official bike routes with a total of 150 kilometres to choose from, ranging from easy routes for starting up to challenging classics with many metres of altitude and magnificent views.
