Ice skating and bavarian curling in Haldensee
The Tannheimer Tal is a valley that inspires with variety and nature experiences. One such experience is the natural ice surface on the Haldensee. The frozen lake in the Tannheimer Tal is a meeting point for the whole family in winter. The one kilometre long and 750 metre wide Haldensee is the place to go for ice-skating, curling, winter hiking and even cross-country skiing. It is the only lake in Tyrol that has a prepared cross-country trail and a winter hiking trail across the frozen ice surface. The Haldensee is approved from an ice thickness of 20 cm and after an examination by a special ice commission.
