Alpstern Trophy

Alpstern-Trophy in the Tannheimer Tal

The event is intended to inspire winter sports across all disciplines.

Team spirit is the focus here: at the Alpstern Trophy on Saturday, 16 March 2019 in Zöblen, four teams will compete in the disciplines of alpine skiing, snowboarding, ski touring and cross-country skiing in a relay race. Start is at 16.30 o'clock. The race starts with a mass start and leads through the ski area from Zöblen to Schattwald. The participants can complete the distance freely, they must orient themselves only at direction gates. The change to the next team partner takes place in predefined handover zones. The winning team is the group that comes closest to the middle time. The award ceremony and a subsequent party will provide an atmospheric finale to the event.

The idea of competition should not dominate at the Alpstern Trophy. All age groups and performance levels should be involved in order to give their best for themselves and their team. With a colourfully mixed field of participants, the Alpstern Trophy becomes an event that is unique in the Allgäu and the Tannheimer Tal and is a real experience for participants and spectators alike.

The snowboarders start in the mass start at the mountain station in Zöblen (Rohnenlift) and hand over at the valley station Schattwald to the tourer, who climbs to the "Stuibenkreuzung" after the "Auffellen" to the valley run Schattwald. Here the handover to the skier takes place, who hands over to the cross-country skier at the Schattwald valley station. The winner is the team that comes closest to the average time of all teams.
