Schattwald is one of six villages in the Tannheim Valley, located near the border with Germany in the western part of Tyrol. Our village is located 1100 meters above sea level. The local mountain, the Wannenjoch extends to 2000 meters. The Wannenjoch is accessible by a triple chair lift. Schattwald currently has 430 inhabitants. In addition to some small businesses and farms, the village lives from tourism. 560 beds are available for guests, from small hotels to lovely furnished vacation apartments.
