Description:
Experience the Running and Nordic Walking Arena Tannheimer Tal
Whether breathless beginner or well-trained mountain athlete: In the Tannheimer Tal everyone gets their money's worth who likes to be active outdoors and explore the surrounding mountains on foot. All active people, from hobby athletes to professionals, face the choice every day: The largest network of paths in Tyrol offers 26 marked routes stretching over a total of 186 kilometers. Beginner loops are included as well as challenging mountain runs. To help all guests know which path suits their fitness and requirements, a specially developed map and small signs provide information on elevation profile, difficulty level, and route length - the running and Nordic walking map.
Along meadows, over green alpine pastures, by sparkling mountain lakes... Walking and running in the Tannheimer Tal is not only the best training for the body, but above all balm for the soul. The starting points for all movement enthusiasts are in the six villages Tannheim, Grän-Haldensee, Nesselwängle-Haller, Zöblen, Schattwald, and Jungholz. From here, walkers, Nordic walkers, and runners follow the signposts. These are easy to recognize: little figures with poles. Additionally, all routes, as well as ski slopes, are divided into black, red, and blue categories. An optimal labeling that contributed, among other things, to the fact that this probably most beautiful high valley in Europe has officially been called the "running and walking competence center" since 2005. Directions:

Head north and turn right at the church, follow the Schnitzerweg to the Langenschwand district. Then a short and entertaining descent to the Scheidbachalpe in the Vilstal. Continue on the gravel road, past the Kalbelehof-Alpe and up a short, steep climb to the Ruhehotel Rehbach. From there, cross the Rehbach and turn right. Continue over a meadow saddle into the Steineberg district and down to Unterjoch. In Unterjoch turn right and pass the Vorderen Sorgalpe. After a short climb through the forest back to the starting point.

Tip:

Enjoy this pristine landscape

Safety guidelines:

It should be noted that there is a risk of accidents and injuries in running and walking sports. Despite careful route planning, a basic risk always remains. Preparing routes through endurance sports, appropriate technical training and further education as well as personal caution reduce the risk of accidents and dangers.

Equipment:

Your personal equipment must be safe and functional and meet the respective technical standard. Everyone is advised to inform themselves about the planned routes through specialist literature or on site. Complete equipment is strongly recommended even for experienced users!
