Tyrolean Trail Quality Seal
For two decades, the Tyrolean state government has awarded the Tyrolean trail quality seal to applying trail operators under certain conditions.
The Tannheimer Tal is a "cross-country skiing paradise". This is not only the opinion of the ADAC Ski Guide 2008, which nominated the region as one of the top 10 ski areas in the Nordic/cross-country category. The state of Tyrol also gave a special award: the "Tyrolean Trail Quality Seal". It is valid for three years and criteria such as the number of trails, grooming, orientation, and marking are regularly checked.
The Tannheimer Tal has optimal cross-country conditions with a 140-kilometer trail network and an altitude difference of a maximum of 50 meters. The routes are suitable for both classic style and skating and offer suitable challenges for cross-country skiers of all skill levels.
Directions:The starting point of the Zöblen circular trail is the parking lot located directly on the federal road. The route initially runs eastwards, after the underpass parallel to the main road for a short distance, and then along the Zöblen fields. At the end of the village of Zöblen, the trail ascends slightly. Upon reaching the Vils, it crosses a bridge westward on the left side of the Vils back to the starting point.Safety guidelines:
Observe the FIS behaviour rules for cross-country skiers!
Secure handling of the equipment even in poor snow conditions and good fitness are basic requirements for cross-country skiing. Choosing the right speed - adapted to skiing ability and fatigue level - greatly reduces the risk of accidents and injuries.
Stay on the route: All tours described here lead on prepared trails. Do not leave the route.
The Tannheimer Tal trail map makes trip planning easier, shows distances, and helps estimate the running time.
Equipment:A contemporary and well-maintained/equipped outfit (skis, bindings, boots, poles, and clothing) not only provides a considerable degree of safety but also greatly facilitates cross-country skiing. Don't forget sun protection (high protection factor and possibly sunglasses) as well as enough fluids.Additional information:
