Description:
The tour starts from Bad Hindelang via the former salt road, the Jochpass, up to Oberjoch. From there, it goes downhill via the Upper and Lower Schwandalpe, where the Wertach river originates, to Unterjoch and – finally uphill – to Jungholz/Tyrol. A steep descent continues into the wild Vils valley. We accompany the Vils upstream. Soon the valley opens, and the Alpe Kälberhof invites you to stop. Then it continues – mostly uphill – via Schattwald/Tyrol to Oberjoch and finally in a rapid descent back to the starting point.Safety guidelines:
Please observe the (voluntary) access restriction between December 15 and April 30 for the forest and wildlife protection area at Kalbelehofalpe.

- Always ride at a controlled speed and at half visibility, especially on curves, as obstacles may appear at any time!
- Be considerate of hikers and pedestrians and overtake only at walking pace!
- Consider the difficulty level of the route and accurately assess your experience and skills as a biker! Protect your head with a helmet and check your equipment before every biking tour (brakes, bell, light)!
- Respect barriers and accept that this path primarily serves agricultural and forestry use! Close the pasture gates!
- Respect nature and wildlife, do not leave the marked route, avoid riding off the open paths, and finish your biking tour before dusk. Do not leave any trash!
