Description:
It doesn't always have to be skiing, snowboarding, or cross-country skiing. On nearly 81 kilometers of cleared paths, hikers stroll through the snowy fairytale landscape. Cozy huts along the way invite you to stop. Sitting by the fireplace, warming up with a Jaga tea, or strengthening yourself with a snack for the next kilometers—that's how you can fully enjoy snow walks.Directions:
Starting point: Tannheim town center, past the church heading north into the Berg district. At the fork in Berg, keep right and follow the high trail to Grän/Lumberg.Safety guidelines:
It should be noted that winter hiking also carries an increased risk of accidents and injuries. Particularly in winter, special attention must be paid to the condition of the trails. Depending on the length and route selection, a good route planning and physical fitness are essential. Suitable clothing, good footwear, and possibly hiking poles provide additional safety. Stay on the marked paths.Equipment:
Modern and well-maintained equipment (shoes, poles, and clothing) not only provides a significant level of safety but also greatly facilitates winter hiking. Sunscreen (high protection factor and possibly sunglasses) as well as sufficient fluids should not be forgotten.Additional information:
