Starting from the Schattwald lift parking lot to the Stube. Ascent along the Stuibenbach to the Lower Stuiben (no hut), then right on the forest road, the last part on the footpath to the Stube directly at the Wannenjochbahn mountain station, about 1 3/4 hours and the same route back, about 1 1/2 hours or descent with the 3-seater chairlift to Schattwald. Total walking time 3 1/4 hours.
Directions:We start in Schattwald at the Wannenjochlift and hike a bit along the ski slope, then we get on the path towards Stuibenalpe or Stube 15.60. A great path opens up to us, we hike romantically along the stream. After some time, we see Stuibenalpe. Here we follow the path to the right further towards Stube 15.60 and Wannenjoch. Upon arrival, we enjoy the wonderful view from the sun terrace. We follow the same path back to the valley.

It should be noted that there is an increased risk of accidents and injuries in mountaineering. Despite careful route planning, a basic risk always remains.

Personal mountaineering equipment must be safe and functional and meet the respective technical standards. Every hiker is recommended to inform themselves about the planned routes in alpine specialist literature or locally.
On the A7 motorway take the exit "Oy-Mittelberg" onto the B310 towards Wertach and to Oberjoch. There follow the signs "Tannheimer Tal" B199 to Schattwald. From the Tyrol side over Reutte on the B198 towards Lechtal to Weißenbach, over the Gaichtpass along the B199 to Schattwald.
Public Transit
By train to Sonthofen, Pfronten/Ried or Reutte, then by bus to Schattwald. Bus stop Dorfplatz.
