The 3 practice trails each 500 m long offer various descents with different demands: The flowing PONTENLINE winds through the Mühlwald with numerous curves and waves. The ZIRLESECKLINE and ROHNENELINE are more technically demanding with roots and drops. All 3 trails start from the same point and merge again at the end. This allows beginners and advanced riders to bike together.
Directions:Trail number: 8022
The start is at the height of the top station Mühlhanglift, at the starting point of the 3 MÜHLWALD-TRAILS and ends in the area of the base station of the Mühlhanglift. The Rohnenline challenges the rider technically more: steeper slopes, tight turns, drops and steps. The ground varies between forest soil and gravel. The line is especially suitable for advanced riders who want to prove their technical riding skills. The route merges in the lower section into the flowing Pontenline. The Rohnenline is designed exclusively for riders.
It should be noted that there is an increased risk of accidents and injuries in mountain biking. Despite careful route planning, there is always a basic risk. Preparing through endurance training, appropriate technical training and education, and personal caution reduces the risk of accidents and hazards. But please never forget that the weather in the mountains can change very quickly. Stay on the marked paths.
Ride on the "safe side" in the Tannheim Valley
In Austria, mountain biking is generally prohibited on all forest and hiking trails by law, except for explicitly designated mountain bike routes. Entry on forest roads is sometimes marked with traffic prohibition signs and additional information such as "Cycling forbidden." Hiking trails do not display these prohibition signs, but riding on these paths is still forbidden.
The routes can be ridden with a normal MTB, which are also offered for rent in sports shops. Your personal equipment must be safe and functional and meet the respective technical standard. Complete mountain bike equipment is absolutely recommended, even for experienced riders! Helmets are mandatory!
