Every day, active visitors—from casual athletes to professionals—are spoiled for choice: Tyrol’s largest trail network offers 26 routes marked with the “

And to ensure that all guests know which trail suits their fitness level and preferences, a specially designed map and small information signs provide details on elevation profile, difficulty level, and route length—the Running and Nordic Walking Map.
Along meadows, across green alpine pastures, past sparkling mountain lakes... Walking and running in the Tannheim Valley isn’t just the best workout for the body—it’s, above all, balm for the soul. The starting points for all those eager to get active are located in the six villages of Tannheim, Grän, Haldensee, Nesselwängle, Haller, Zöblen, Schattwald, and Jungholz.
From the community center in Schattwald, head west; turn right at the first opportunity and continue on to the church. Here, keep left and continue toward the Kappl district; in the Kappl district, turn left, then right before the Vils Bridge, and follow the Vils River to the wastewater treatment plant. There, turn left across the Vils and head south past the reservoir. When you reach the paved Rehbachweg, turn left until you reach the woods, then turn left and continue west. After the junction with the road, turn left toward the hamlet of Krummenbach. From there, head east until you reach the paved Rehbachweg. Turn right here, then turn left before the hamlet of Steig and continue to the wastewater treatment plant. Keep right there and follow the southern bank of the Vils to the Vils Bridge, then cross it. Return to the starting point.
