Information & interesting facts

Properties:
  • Loop
Description:
The tour offers a picture-perfect glimpse of the Eastern Allgäu pre-alpine landscape with gentle hills, forests, meadows, and many typical individual farms, hamlets, and villages. Passing inviting bathing ponds (Schwaltenweiher, Trollweiher, Schönewalder Weiher, or Kögelweiher), you "experience" several medieval historical sites in the south, including the castle ruins of Freyberg and Eisenberg, as well as – visible from afar at Pfronten – the Falkenstein ruin. Two Allgäu cheese dairies and some eateries invite you for a culinary pit stop.Safety guidelines:

  • Always ride at a controlled speed and with limited visibility, especially on curves, as obstacles can appear at any time!

  • Be considerate to hikers and pedestrians and only overtake at walking pace!

  • Take into account the difficulty level of the trail and accurately assess your experience and skills as a biker! Protect your head with a helmet and check your equipment before starting each bike tour (brakes, bell, lights)!

  • Stay within barriers and accept that this path primarily serves agricultural and forestry purposes! Close the pasture gates!

  • Respect nature and wildlife, do not leave the marked route, avoid riding off the open trails, and finish your bike tour before dusk. Do not leave any litter!
