- Insider tip
From Jungholz towards Pfronten, we enjoy great landscapes, mountains, and viewpoints. One becomes aware of the nature, water, stone, and meadows that the Tirol and Allgäu regions embody in this environment. Along the well-marked and developed paths, we proceed to the first waypoint, the Kappeler Alpe. After a short stay, we pass through villages such as Kappel and Pfroten, shaped by their traditions. Later, along the Vils river, we walk back towards Jungholz. Upon arrival at the final destination, we reflect on our unique impressions and enjoy this great experience.Directions:
From Jungholz church, we walk uphill towards Alpe Stubental, always on the signposted path. After about 2.5 kilometers, shortly before Alpe Stubental, we turn towards Pfronten, following the well-marked paths here as well. We continuously stay on the marked trail and pass Edelsberg to reach the Ostallgäu ridgeway. Passing the Lachner hut, we walk to the Kappeler Alpe (signposted). After a short refreshment break, we continue towards Pfronten town center - Kappel. We then proceed to the Allgäu Stone Experience World to the Hay Museum. From there, we continue to the district of Halden. We continue towards Vilsweg and along the Vils river until we reach the Vilstalsäge (refreshment opportunity). From there, we continue on the well-marked paths towards Jungholz. After an almost seven-hour hike, we return to the Jungholz district of Langenschwand. Another kilometer further is the end point of the route, the church in Jungholz.Tip:
