When Lake Vilsalpsee is bathed in the glow of the lights and the scent of mulled wine and freshly baked treats fills the winter air, one of the region’s most romantic Christmas markets opens its doors. Against the magical backdrop of snow-capped mountains, festively decorated stalls invite you to linger, enjoy and marvel – with regional specialities, warming drinks and lovingly crafted gift ideas.
From the car park at the Tourist Information Centre in Tannheim (Vilsalpseestraße 1), you can reach Lake Vilsalpsee very easily by the Alpenexpress in about 15 minutes, or by taking a leisurely winter walk of about 1 hour.
