Melodious encounters

The Außerfern Federal Music Festival will take place this year from 18th to 20th July in Grän and promises to be an unforgettable experience for music lovers and visitors alike. Numerous brass bands will gather in the picturesque setting of the Außerfern Valley to showcase their musical talents. 

Opening night

The 74th Außerfern Federal Music Festival kicks off with a spectacular party on Friday evening. Join us when magnificent live bands rock the tent:

• Die Hoachtaler – The local brass band opens the 74th Außerfern Federal Music Festival.
   
• Speckdrum – The Allgäu band will get the party started with a mix of folk music and modern rhythms.
   
• Blaskapelle Gehörsturz – Brass band music with a party guarantee. Let the evening come to a close with energetic sounds and celebrate with us into the night.

Gala evening with brass band music

Saturday evening is all about the love of brass band music. Enjoy first-class musical performances in a unique atmosphere.

Musical highlight:
The ‘Kaiser Musikanten’ present the finest brass band music.

Parade and marching music competition

Sunday is the highlight of the music festival – a day on which more than 30 bands from the Außerfern region and neighbouring areas demonstrate their marching music skills.

• The event kicks off with Holy Mass and a ceremony held outdoors, weather permitting, with a huge choir.
• This is followed by a grand parade with a marching band competition through Grän –
  featuring over 30 bands in traditional costume and musical interludes. A true spectacle!
