- Insider tip
Along the circular route there are magnificent views – yet the route is suitable for everyone, as the lush green meadows and pastures our path leads over are mostly only moderately steep. The start of our route is in Jungholz and after about 2.5 hours we reach the first destination, the Schnitzlertal Alpe. At several rustic alpine huts along the way, such as the Vordere Sorg Alpe or the Buchel Hut, we can refresh ourselves at any time. At several points on the route, a spectacular panoramic view of the Allgäu alpine landscape awaits us. On the way back we pass through the small community of Unterjoch. There you can still enjoy rustic and genuine Allgäu culture. The end point after a good 5-hour route is again the Jungholz parking lot in the village center.
Directions:From the starting point we walk south along a short asphalt path/road until after about 300 meters we turn left onto a forest path with an asphalted road. From there we reach the Vordere Sorg Alpe and then a short crossing of the B310. Immediately afterwards we follow the path to Roß Alpe. From there we continue on the hiking trail until we reach the Schnitzlertal Alpe. From there we make our way back towards Edelsberg to the Buchel Alpe. From there we proceed towards Unterjoch (short crossing of the B310). Upon reaching Unterjoch, we pass through the small community towards the Vordere Sorg Alpe. Continuing, we get onto the path back towards Jungholz village center and arrive again at the starting point and the simultaneous end of the route.
