The trail leads directly from Grän in a south-westerly direction to Tannheim. Past Tannheim, follow the signs directly to Zöblen. Cross the main road with an underpass and continue along the Vils. From there, continue to Schattwald. At the Kappl district, turn right uphill and then left again. The path on the north side of the Vils gorge leads directly over the Kappeler Berg to the "Kalbelehof Alpe" mountain hut. Along the Vils, through the Vils valley, you cross the state border to Pfronten. The route leads past the Vils valley sawmill, an old mill with a museum and a park through Pfronten. Shortly before the finish, cross the road into the Tannheimer Tal valley once, via a gravel path that leads through a beautiful forest. Passing the "Gasthaus Fallmühle" through the Engetal valley to Grän, you return to the starting point. If you are in good shape, you can complete the 35-kilometre route in around 02:30 hours. Due to the length of the route and the elevation gain, a very good level of fitness is required.

Personal equipment must be safe and fit for purpose and meet the relevant technical standards. Every gravel biker is recommended to obtain information about the planned tours from specialist literature or on site. Complete gravel bike equipment is highly recommended, even for experienced riders!
On the A7 highway, take the "Oy-Mittelberg" exit on the B310 towards Wertach and Oberjoch. There follow the signs "Tannheimer Tal" B199, exit Grän. From the Tyrolean side via Reutte on the B198 towards Lechtal to Weißenbach, over the Gaichtpass along the B199 to the Grän exit.
Public Transit
By train to Sonthofen, Pfronten/Ried or Reutte, then by bus to Grän.
