Description:
Wonderful hike for the whole family. See for yourself, in the Vilsalpsee nature reserve a dreamlike landscape awaits you. Not difficult but still a bit strenuous is the hike to the Upper Traualpe. However, it is definitely worth it.
Starting from the Vilsalpsee guesthouse, walk left along the lake for 1/4 hour. To the Lower Traualpe (no hut). Ascent to Traualpsee and to the Upper Traualpe about 1 1/2 hours. Descent to Vilsalpsee on the same path about 1 1/4 hours. Total about 3 hours.Directions:

We start from the Vilsalpsee nature reserve. We hike back along the west bank to an unmanaged alpine pasture. Here we follow the signposts Traualpe/ Lansberger Hut. The path first leads us a little through the forest before we cross the open pasture several times. The ascent gradually becomes steeper but unproblematic. After some time we walk along the rock face. Once here, the path is not far. When we reach the summit, a magnificent mountain panorama opens up. In front of us is the Traualpsee and behind it rocky and pointed mountains. Simply wonderful.

Tip:

Enjoy hearty snacks and homemade treats at the Upper Traualpe.
