From Tannheim to the Älpele alpine inn.
Starting from Tannheim towards Neu-Kienzen and Wiesle, until the fork on the forest road to Älpele, about 1 1/2 hours. The descent is the same as the ascent. Total walking time about 3 hours.

The alpine inn is located in a wonderful mountain basin. Here you are undisturbed and can enjoy the peace and fully exercise yourself. The path is well developed and pleasantly steep to hike. After a hearty stop, body and mind are in harmony.
Directions:From the West parking lot in Tannheim, we start westwards on the hiking trail towards Älpele/Höfersee. Passing the district of Neu-Kienzen, we reach a junction and follow the signs towards Älpele. Here the hiking trail goes pleasantly gently through the forest until after some time we reach the Älpele alpine inn.

It should be noted that mountain sports can carry an increased risk of accidents and injuries. Despite careful route planning, there is always a basic risk. Preparation for tours through endurance training, appropriate technical training and education, as well as personal prudence, reduces the danger of accidents and risks. But never forget that the weather in the mountains can change very quickly. Stay on the marked hiking trails.
Your personal mountain sports equipment must be safe, functional, and meet the current technical standards. Every hiker is advised to inform themselves about the planned routes in alpine specialist literature or on site.
On the A7 highway at the exit "Oy-Mittelberg," take the B310 towards Wertach and then to Oberjoch. There follow the signs "Tannheimer Tal" B199, exit Tannheim.
From the Tyrol side via Reutte on the B198 towards Lechtal until Weißenbach, over the Gaichtpass along the B199 to the exit Tannheim.
Public Transit
By train to Sonthofen, Pfronten/Ried or Reutte, then by bus to Tannheim - stop Abzw. Kienzen
