Our hike leads us from Jungholz in Tyrol to the 1695 m high Wertacher Hörnle in the Allgäu Alps. We mostly walk on narrow meadow paths and maintained hiking trails with a gentle to moderate ascent to the summit. Along the way, we enjoy beautiful views over the upper and eastern Allgäu Alpine foothills.Directions:
The starting point is the Jungholz church. From there, we walk towards the ski lifts and turn left at the ski lift garage towards the Vorderen Sorgalpe. After about 20 minutes, we pass the Sorg Alpe heading towards the main road. After a short crossing of the road, we reach the direct path to the Wertacher Hörnle. Following the signage and the hiking trail, we reach the summit of the Wertacher Hörnle and thus the end point of the route.Tip:

Sturdy footwear, suitable hiking clothing
Option 1: Exit A 7 Oy-Mittelberg, take the B310 towards Wertach, turn left at the Jungholz exit. Very good signage.
Option 2: Reachable via B310 Oberjoch-Unterjoch - exit Pfeiffermühle/Jungholz
Public Transit
Accessible by the Komm Mit bus line. The bus stops at the municipality of Jungholz four times daily, about one kilometer from the starting point.
Fares are available from the bus company "Komm mit".
Parking
The parking lot in the center of Jungholz is free of charge and has a capacity of around 300 vehicles.
