The SKI-TRAIL Tannheimer Tal – Bad Hindelang was held annually on this circular trail. A cross-country marathon through the entire Tannheimer Valley to the neighboring Allgäu.
Tyrolean Trail Quality Seal
For two decades, the Tyrolean state government has been awarding the Tyrolean Trail Quality Seal to trail operators upon application under certain conditions.
The Tannheimer Valley is a "cross-country skiing paradise." This is not only recognized by the ADAC Ski Guide 2008, which nominated the region as one of the Top 10 ski resorts in the Nordic/cross-country category, but it also received a special award from the Land of Tyrol: The "Trail Quality Seal of the State of Tyrol." This is valid for three years, and criteria such as the number of trails, grooming, orientation, or marking are regularly checked.
The Tannheimer Valley has optimal cross-country skiing conditions with a 140-kilometer-long trail network and a maximum elevation difference of 50 meters. The trails are suitable for both classic style and skating and offer challenges for cross-country skiers of all skill levels.
Directions:The expert route is an absolute must for performance-oriented skating fans. We start at the Sägerklause up to the Schützenkeller, after this loop, the ascent to the Wiesle continues. At the top, immediately sharp right and into the descent. Keep left before the underpass. At the next two intersections, turn left again. Now you go up the so-called "Brand." Down the back of the hill, turn left at the intersection, and the expert route is completed.Tip:
Great interval training possible.Safety guidelines:
Observe the FIS code of conduct for cross-country skiers!
Confident handling of the sports equipment even in poor snow conditions and good fitness are basic prerequisites for cross-country skiing. Choosing the right speed - adapted to skiing skills and fatigue level - greatly reduces the risk of accidents and injuries.
Stay on the route: All tours described here lead on groomed trails. So do not deviate from the route.
The cross-country ski map of the Tannheimer Valley makes tour planning easier, shows the distances, and helps estimate the running time.
Equipment:Modern and well-maintained equipment (skis, bindings, boots, poles, and clothing) not only provides a significant level of safety but also makes cross-country skiing much easier. Sunscreen (high protection factor and possibly sunglasses) and enough fluids should not be forgotten.Additional information:
