From the Wannjochbahn mountain station to the Bescheisser (2,000 m), continuing on to the Ponten (2,045 m), and then ascending to the Rohnenspitze (1,990 m)
Directions:From the Wannenjochbahn mountain station, continue along trails No. 75a/75/70 to the Bscheisser (2,000 m), about 2 hours. Descend to Güntle, then a short climb to Ponten (2,045 m) via trails No. 70/70a, about 3/4 hour. Descend to Zirleseck (1,872 m), about 1/2 hour. Ascent to the Rohnenspitze. CAUTION!! A rope safety line is available at the start, but sure-footedness is required. Trail No. 62, about 3/4 hour. Descent into the Pontental valley, Trail No. 62, and continue on the forest road, Trail No. 71, to Zöblen or Trail No. 72/73 to Schattwald, about 2 hours. Total walking time about 6 hours.
Additional descent options:
a) via Zirleseck and the Güntle, descend to the Stuibenalpe, then continue to Schattwald along the Stuibenbach, or to Zöblen via Forest Trail No. 71, approx. 2 hours; total walking time 6 hours
b) From Zirleseck to Älpele, then to Tannheim via Forest Road No. 59, approx. 2 hours; or to Schattwald, approx. 2 hours. Total walking time approx. 6 hours.
c) From Zirleseck to Älpele, Trail No. 59a/59, and on to Tannheim via Forest Trail No. 59, approx. 2 hours. Return to Schattwald via Circular Hiking Trail No. 1, about 1 hour
or by hiking bus. Total walking time: about 6 3/4 hours.

Personal mountaineering equipment must be safe, in good working order, and meet the relevant technical standards. All hikers are advised to research their planned routes in specialized alpine literature or on-site.

On the A7 highway, take the "Oy-Mittelberg" exit onto the B310 toward Wertach and then to Oberjoch. From there, follow the signs for "Tannheimer Tal" (B199) to the Schattwald exit.
From the Tyrolean side, drive through Reutte onto the B198 toward Lechtal until you reach Weißenbach, then continue over the Gaicht Pass along the B199 to the Schattwald exit.

By train to Sonthofen, Pfronten/Ried or Reutte, then by bus to Schattwald
