Experience the Running and Nordic Walking Arena Tannheimer Tal
Whether breathless beginner or well-trained mountain athlete: in the Tannheimer Tal everyone gets their money's worth who wants to move in the fresh air and explore the surrounding mountains on foot. All active people, from hobby athletes to professionals, face a daily choice: Tirol's largest network of paths offers 26 marked routes extending over a total of 186 kilometers. There are beginner loops as well as demanding mountain runs. And so that all guests know which path matches their fitness level and demands, a specially designed map and small signs inform about elevation profile, difficulty level and length of the route - the running and Nordic walking map.
Along meadows, over green alpine pastures, by sparkling mountain lakes... Walking and running in the Tannheimer Tal is not just the best training for the body, but above all balm for the soul. The starting points for all movement enthusiasts are located in the six towns of Tannheim, Grän-Haldensee, Nesselwängle-Haller, Zöblen, Schattwald and Jungholz. From here, walkers, Nordic walkers and runners follow the signposts. They are easy to recognize: little figures with poles. Additionally, all routes, as well as ski slopes, are categorized into black, red and blue. An optimal marking, which among other things contributed to the fact that probably the most beautiful high valley in Europe has officially called itself the "Running and Walking Competence Center" since 2005.
Directions:Head north and cross the federal road at the pedestrian crossing. Straight ahead to the start of the training route, then continue to the Innergschwend fork. Turn left, then at the next fork also left and back to the starting point.
The Berg training route serves as a speed run route and as a beginner run route.
