Description:
Our hike takes us from Jungholz in Tirol to the 1695 m high Wertacher Hörnle in the Allgaeu Alps. Here we hike mostly on narrow meadow paths and groomed hiking trails with easy to medium ascent to the summit. On the way we enjoy the beautiful views to the Upper and Eastern Allgaeu alps.
Directions:
The starting point is the Jungholz Church. From there we walk towards the ski lifts and turn left at the ski lift garage towards the Vorderen Sorgalpe. After about 20 minutes we walk past the Sorg Alpe towards the main road. After a short crossing of the street, we come to the direct route to the Wertacher Hörnle. Always following the signs and the hiking trail, we reach the summit of the Wertacher Hörnle and thus the end point of the tour.

Getting there
Option 1: Exit A 7 Oy-Mittelberg, on B310 towards Wertach, take the Jungholz exit on the left. Very good signage
Option 2: Accessible via the B310 Oberjoch- Unterjoch - Pfeiffermühle exit
Public Transit
Reachable by bus on the Komm Mit line. The bus leaves four times a day at the Jungholz community stop. About one kilometer from the starting point. Tariffs are with the bus company "Komm mit".
Parking
The Jungholz center car parking lot is free and there is a capacity of around 300 vehicles
