Zöblen - Zugspitzblick
A winter hike for the whole family, which is possible in any weather.
Quality of experience: ****
- Round trip
- Refreshment stops available
- Family friendly
A leisurely walk along the asphalt road to the Berghotel Zugspitzblick. This route does not hide any dangers as the road is cleared daily. Enjoy the wonderful view during the whole route.
From the car park at the entrance to the town west in northern direction through Zöblen keep left at the turn-offs and cross the bridge. Past a handful of houses (Untere Halde) and on an asphalt road over the serpentines to the Zugspitzblick (1300 m) to the Obere Halde.
When the weather is good, you can see as far as the Zugspitze.
It should be noted that winter hiking also involves an increased risk of accidents and injuries. Especially in winter, special attention must be paid to the condition of the paths. Suitable clothing, good shoes and possibly hiking sticks provide additional safety. Stay on the marked paths.
An up-to-date and well-kept/maintained equipment (shoes, sticks and clothes) not only provides a considerable degree of safety but also makes winter hiking much easier. Sun protection (high protection factor and possibly sunglasses) as well as sufficient liquid should not be forgotten.
