An herb has grown against everything - 11th herb and craftsman market

On 4 August 2019, the Alpine Herb Village Jungholz in Tyrol invites you to a herb and handicraft market. The market is organised by the Tourism Committee of the municipality under the patronage of Mayor Karina Konrad.

In cooperation with the herb educators, herb landlords, restaurateurs and many local, committed helpers and herb enthusiasts, the market has established itself as an atmospheric, encounter-rich and very attractive event and attracts several hundred visitors to the Tyrolean mountain village every year. In addition to herbs, herbaceous perennials, spices, teas, soaps, fresh herb bread, jams, herb cheese, honey and other delicacies and delicacies for every taste, the approx. 80 selected exhibitors also offer creative products from their own workshop (many of which are handmade and unique) for sale. Among them for example decorative garden accessories, pottery, most diverse articles from wood / alluvial wood, decoration of all kinds, crochet, sewing and felt work.

Thus a truly unusual range of goods in connection with lectures, guided tours and musical performances delights the numerous visitors. In the large herb garden next to the church, local herbal pedagogues answer visitors' questions about the many herb plants in the garden. Various craftsmen can be watched over the shoulder while practicing their craft. Of course, the palate is not neglected either. There are various culinary offers - partly in favour of local associations. Young visitors are entertained with a special children's programme.

The herb market is open from 10 to 18 o'clock with free entrance.
