St. Martin Chapel in Innergschwend

Between Grän and Tannheim lies the small hamlet of Innergschwend with its chapel dedicated to St. Bishop Martin. The original Gothic building, first mentioned in 1494, was baroqueized in 1685/86. The consecration of the church took place in October 1725 by the then auxiliary bishop of Augsburg. The rococo style rocaille cartouche (around 1760) above the choir arch is decorated with the attributes of St. Martin.
