Cheese dairy Biedermann
More than 60 years ago, the history of the "Tannheimertaler Bergkäserei" began with the production of mountain cheese and Emmentaler. Werner Biedermann took his experience as a dairyman from Switzerland to our valley and founded a private cheese dairy - and with it the beginning of a successful story.
New production guidelines made a reorientation unavoidable in the mid-1990s, which his son Otto realized with the most modern operating equipment. Thus, the experience of many decades could be further perfected in the third generation by Markus Biedermann and his team.
The renunciation of silage by our farmers, short transport routes and the intact environment of the Tannheimertal are furthermore essential characteristics for the high value of local food.
Thus, products of our alpine dairy are also a contribution to the secure income of the farmers, who through their traditional craft and traditional knowledge preserve the landscape as we wish our guests.
