Winter Hiking in the Tannheim Valley, Tyrol

Whoever thinks that "hiking" is a summer pasttime, will experience a winter-hiking-wonder in the Tannheim Valley

It need not always be skiing, snowboarding or cross-country skiing. On 81 kilometers of cleared and groomed paths, hikers stroll through the fairy-tale landscape. Along the way, cozy huts await in which to warm up. Sitting by the fire, sip a Jaga-tea or fill up on a snack for the next kilometers – this is how you can enjoy snowy walks to their fullest.

Along the approximately 81 kilometers of cleared walking trails there is so much to be discoverd and seen, so much fresh air to breathe in, making each step filled with enjoyment - and the inns and cafés along the trails provide wonderful possibilities for warming-up and recharging. Whoever wants to experience something special should take a guided snowshoe tour. Whoever aims high has two opportunities to hike atop a mountain in the Tannheim Valley in winter: the Neunerköpfle in Tannheim, with the largest summit book in the Alps, or the Gamskopf with its "panoramic-informator" in Grän.
