More and more climbing enthusiasts discover the limestone cliffs for themselves

Names like Aggenstein, Gehrenspitze or Läuferspitze have long since had an excellent reputation in the scene. Located on the sunny side, they are renowned as rewarding climbing destinations in a quiet environment and with stunning mountain vistas. From the simple single-rope route for light recreational climbing up to a challenging alpine multi-rope route, almost everything is offered which the enthusiastic amateur climber and ambitious conqueror of gravity can handle.

No doubt - life is sometimes can really be like "climbing the walls". For whom this doesn‘t create stress, but rather offers a pleasurable experience, the Tannheim Valley and the towering mountains of the surrounding Alps can be just the thing. The numerous peaks that surround the "most beautiful high mountain valley in Europe," offer mountaineers and climbers a diverse and varied delight. It is no coincidence that the history of mountaineering goes back a long way in this region – evidenced by Alpine Associations‘ large number of mountain huts which foster the tradition of this long, intense and impassioned love for the mountains.

Precisely because beginners get on as well as experienced climbers, the Tannheim mountains are a destination that holds a life-long attraction and interest for many. And with the demanding via ferrata, lovers of the artful ascent are also in for a special treat.
