Opening steps from May 19

In the course of a press conference, the Austrian federal government has announced far-reaching opening steps for May 19, 2021.

Changes to existing measures to contain the Corona pandemic in Tyrol:

Entry regulation for Austria to Germany was extended until the end of May!

The current entry regulation is extended up to and including May 31. Since February 10, in addition to the registration and quarantine requirements, entrants must also submit a negative test result no older than 72 hours (molecular biology test) or 48 hours (antigen test). After entry, a ten-day quarantine is obligatory, which can be terminated by free testing after five days at the earliest.
Persons working in "system-relevant areas" may continue to commute, but must be registered by the employer with the competent authority.

Food service establishments and hotels remain closed.
The exit restrictions from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. continue to apply. In addition, FFP2 masks are mandatory in retail and public transport, as well as compliance with a 2-meter minimum distance.

Entering Austria from a risk area 

As of December 19, a 10-day quarantine requirement will apply to persons entering Austria from a risk area. The plan is to classify risk areas based on the 14-day incidence of positive coronavirus cases. All countries that record a value higher than 100 will be classified as a risk area. After five days, free testing by PCR test is possible. Exceptions are to be made for business travelers and commuters, for example. Before entering Austria, this entry form (Einreiseformular) must be filled out (valid from 15.1.2021).

 

Free testing also for private room renters

Since 02. November can be tested to the existing promotion-entitled also persons from the private room letting free of charge.

Important here is the electronic application via the safe hospitality, the testing can then be carried out at Dr. Mauthner in Tannheim.

Free antigen testing of asymptomatic individuals

From 19.12.2020 until provisionally 10.01.2021, the province of Tyrol offers free antigen testing of asymptomatic persons. In addition to the existing screening routes, this testing can also be performed free of charge in the surgeries in Tannheim (Dr. Arno Mauthner) and in Grän (Dr. Eva Wurz).
