Ways to the Vilsalpsee

Ways to the Vilsalpsee

A relaxing walk in the sun often works wonders and lets visitors forget the stress of everyday life in an instant. The Tannheimer Tal offers a multitude of such hikes. Whether hand in hand or with a pram - you can relax and head for the enchanting Vilsalpsee lake, which is only four kilometres from Tannheim. For those who are tired after the 60-minute hike to the lake, the Bimmelbähnchen "Tannheimer Alpenexpress" or a bus (only in the summer season) is waiting to take you back to Tannheim. A horse-drawn carriage is only available on request.

The flat hiking trail along the lake to Vilsalpe itself takes about 30 minutes and leads past green meadows and steeply rising mountains. At the end the impressive 400 metre high Berggaicht waterfall awaits you. On the way back, walkers can enjoy a snack on the Vilsalpe.
